Couldn’t post a poll in a response, so had to create a new thread instead of posting this in RC experience thread.

I am wondering what folks who attend games expect to see on the 4 large video boards that are in the corners of the Robins Center.

The second option below seems to be the most common configuration of late. There are 2 video board configurations - one with lots of stats info plus video, one primarily video only.

Voted for Video/stats on all 4 screens. It's funny a couple of years ago, I grouched on the old board when the main screen I focus on from Section 9 diagonally across the court from me no longer had the stats ... Brandon who some may remember from Spiders Athletic fund actually emailed me about it and it was resolved for the rest of the year. But we seem to be back to the 2 versions which I don't really like and Brandon has moved on.

I am for the same thing on all the boards as well, but I am voting for “stats only” with video for replays because I don’t see any reason to show the live action on the video screens. The beauty of the Robins Center is that everyone has a good view of the court, so why would you look at the video screen? The only time I have ever done that is if someone decides to stand up in front of me and I can’t see without standing up myself. This typically doesn’t happen and the most likely time would be at the end of the game and they could always switch to all video at the 2 minutes remaining or something similar.

ah - yah didn't read carefully - I could care less about live video as well.

Have to comment on the video boards again. Sat in a different spot for the last Women’s game and my habitual glance to the board was to the “alternate” format with the skinny stats on the sides and the larger video. I HATE that configuration. The score for each team being separated by a large video display is useless. Why do they use this display?

Agree. Also find the out of town scores shown on the smaller screens to be quite useless.
On the score screens, I don’t think they pay any attention to the configuration. The screens were showing something like out of conference Women’s scores at the last Men’s game. I did a double take and they stayed the same all game. ????

I'm not sure why the out of town scores get stuck for many minutes on some random out of town women's scores. But perhaps, we could address that. Also the sound system, while apparently new, is still terrible. You can't hear anything clearly. I took a new guest with me on Saturday and they commented how you can't hear anything that the play by play or timeout girl is saying. I've gone numb to it. But whatever, we paid for the new sound system, they might as well have taken the money outside in the Robin Center parking lot and lit it on fire for as much good as it did.

where I sit on the behind the basket , the board that I have used for the last 15 years now doesn't show the players stats so if I switch to the other video screen in my view it is obstructed by the basket..so I have to constantly lean over...I would love them all to show the stats.

Yesterday was my first game this season and for most of the first half I couldn't even find the score (that was probably a good thing). A colleague who was also there for the first time mentioned he couldn't see the stats from his seat. Count us as two votes for consistent scores/stats on all four boards.

We would like to see video replays of important plays in timeouts, etc.

I don't miss a thing watching on TV. The TV production is pretty good. Steadfast in my holdout until Mooney is gone or I die.
