Twiddling thumbs waiting for our game to kick off...
PL is 4–0 so far today against lower-level opponents. Some of them were close a decent amount of the way, but all ended up double-digit margins.
Colgate has its hands full against Villanova, though they just got on the board to cut the deficit to 14–7. Wild one between Fordham and Monmouth so far, with the Hawks just scoring a TD on the final play of the first quarter to go up 21–14. Holy Cross/UNH could be a good one.
UNH marches down the field with the help of a roughing the passer call, and hits a 40-yard FG as time expires to take the 19–16 win. Another missed opportunity for the PL.
Is Holy Cross the best 0-3 team in the country? Very close losses to FBS Northern Illinois, good UNH, and top 10 Rhode Island team. Had they gone 2-1 with loss to only NIU they’d be top 20, 3-0 and they’d be close to top 10.

No doubt that Holy Cross is going to get some wins and will be near the top of the Patriot League. Too bad that the CAA is getting wins in the majority of the head to head matchups between the leagues, but it does seem that the Patriot League is improving top to bottom. I expect to see a bunch of competitive football games every week once conference play begins.
