Inside Spider MBB

Which part are you part of?
What is the general consensus on Mooney?
Do we suck because he can't coach or because our players are bad?
How much did our highest-paid player make this year?
Does Mooney have naked pictures of Hardt in a bathtub of cheeseburgers?

Why, in god's name, do we eschew things that have been statistically correlated with winning: offensive rebounding, and avoiding long two-point shots?
Because we don't embrace analytics. At one point, we had a guy on staff whose sole job was analytics. I'm not sure we even look at analytics. We certainly don't talk about it like we do, and our behavior suggests that, if we are, we're actively running in the opposite direction of what the analytics tell us.

But hey, why try to do anything modern when you can keep doing the same old stuff and get progressively worse results.

Mooney tends to be anti-analytics. There was an emphasis early in the season to be more of an offensive rebounding team which showed. Analytics for rebounding was tracked in practice and scrimmages. When the team started to get killed in transition, crashing philosophy was abandoned.

Being the smallest team in the league certainly doesn’t help.

What is the scoop with Bryson McGlothin?

We heard Mooney and our podcasters hype him but he never got a chance to play???????

I do not for a second think this is an insider who is part of the program.

1. Why would someone part of the program post on a message board?
2. Why would someone part of the program call us soft and say we lack rebounding grit, even if true?
3. Why not just say who you are if you are an insider who wants to share some information?
4. So far, everything shared is something any random fan could say.
5. The name spiderinsider seems a little overboard.
