Need a game thread for this big one!

Great start for the Spiders jumping out to a 27–9 lead after one. Spiders active on D and making shots. Newell is raining threes and the Spiders ended on a 14–0 run.

Forced Reiss to take a timeout late in the quarter as Spiders have all the momentum, but didn’t help.

14-0 run in last 2+ minutes. Have to like that to end Q1.

Two fouls on Doogan in 20 seconds. Rhody getting settled a bit.

Gray did just get her second foul.

Spiders settle down and get some buckets, though some missed opportunities with an open layup by Simon and an open three by Sweeney that missed. But we’ve stopped the bleeding…32–22 Spiders with Doogan checking back in for the last couple minutes of the half.

Fell in love with the 3 too much I think. Need to play a little more under control I think. A bit frantic.

Spiders outscored 15–5 in the quarter. Too many missed open shots.

Still up 8 at the half, but we’re by no means in total control of this. Need to come out strong in the third.

Ice cold in Q2 with 5 total points. URI getting lots of easy points inside although taking multiple shots to score. Spiders can’t get the defensive rebounds.

Great start but then our problems putting the ball in the bucket resurfaced. Huge half upcoming. Won't make a difference in anything long-term as far chances to win A-10 and dance etc., but will make a huge difference in our psyche I believe. Can't blow a great start and see the offensive problems resurface and expect to roll through A-10, but get back to last game and first qtr. level against this opponent and we are in great shape looking forward. But we need to get it done in this half!

Well that start was about as good as we could hope for. If Newell can shoot anything close to this we are very tough to defend

Key now is to just keep trucking. No turnovers, no long droughts, no Maggie foul trouble.

One real problem today is rebounding. Offensive rebounds keeping URI in it (just barely). But that's a problem we will want to get cleaned up as we aren't going to shoot it like this every night!

Nothing but net from Newell. Easily her best scoring game and rather unexpected with all the shots from 3. Like that got the ball into Doogan for some paint points finally. Doing a better job on boards this quarter.

Danger time. No more fouls here on Maggie and we need to find some offense while she sits out.

Really good for first three minutes of the qtr. but sorta shaky after that.

Not a perfect game from us on offense, but we sure made the Rams look pedestrian.

Outstanding 4th qtr. Not as flashy as earlier runs, but did the way we usually do - - - just win the grind each and every trip. Good D every trip, no sloppy turnovers and put pressure on offensively for as long as it takes to get our shot.

Lots of contributions beyond the Big 3. Looked much better in this game from an energy standpoint. Agree with Philly that it was a great Q4. On to St Joe’s for the last game of the regular season. Go Spiders!
