Game Thread - @ Loyola Sat Feb 28 4pm EST - CBS Sport Network

I've been on record for weeks with this flagged as the only game with real importance for the MoonCrew.

Lose and there is no sugarcoating real progress in this season. The only real effect is longer term though, as it *MIGHT* put real pressure on next season, being a losing season and a no-progress season preceding it.

Moon has feasted on bottom dwellers this year though, that much is obvious, so fully expecting a win.

Loyola is shooting 30.8% from 3 ( 332nd in the country). Their opponents are shooting 38.2% from 3 ( 360th worst 3 pt D in the country). They average 66.7 ppg (346th in the country) and give up 77.2 ppg (273rd in country). They have lost 16 games by 12 or more points. Just an average team would be favored by double digits against them. But, we are not an average team. Not even close. Sad.

Just checked score on my phone. Is 6 points in 8+ minutes good? My guess is we probably aren't aggressive enough. Shoot, if we could just be aggressive, I am thinking final four.

Got a chuckle at the announcer saying one of the keys for us is to dominate the paint. Lol!
I heard that. Obviously he knows Mooney’s game prep.

Tyne just fouled guy he was guarding away from the ball. Guy looked good 8-10 inches taller. Another of Moon’s chosen defensive specialities.

No, you got it all wrong VT. The problem is we are only spending $2 million on NIL. Can’t expect us to play well against powerhouse A10 programs like Loyola with that little amount of money.

We are somehow underperforming to all these averages today. Brutal.
