Game thread - @ Fordham - Sunday 1/4 noon ESPN+

I am flying up for the game and my 1st time at Rose Hill. Will be attending with some friends and their families. We're sitting fairly close behind the bench and sure hope that we see a better performance than the prior few games. No score projection.

I am kinda nervous of this next game. Considering Fordham doesn’t give up many points. I know they haven’t played anyone. But they played Dayton tough.

Same, have been a regular for this game. Unlikely to go. I'm sure Moon will improve to .950 vs Fordham to pad his win stats some more, bc that is who he is and his record supports that, this season and long-term. Beats the bottom feeders, not the top dogs.

*btw, all seats are fairly close behind the bench. There are only like 10-12 rows total in the place, with only 2 rows in the "upper" section. Don't take a wrong turn or you'll end up in the Fordham dining hall, the place is ancient.

I am taking Fordham 70-68. If we can’t score I can definitely see some problems. Consider Fordham allows the least amount of points per game in the NCAA

I know some people don't believe in the arena site lines affecting shooting, but to me Rose Hill is a shooter friendly gym. It seems every game I have watched their we have had someone go off. King a couple years back. I remember a huge game from Marshall Wood ( I was sitting next to Kevin Hovde in the stands for that one haha). Shawndre filling in when Ced limped off the floor and lighting it up from 3.

Fordham projected last place preseason in A10. Has played weak OOC schedule like us. On paper appears to be decent defensively. Not sure if they have any quality 3 point shooters, but if they do then we can’t dismiss and give up wide open 3’s. We gave up 9 3’s to CSU and 17 3’s to GW. That’s unconscionable and must be corrected. The league will destroy us outside if Mooney doesn’t learn and correct from the last 2 games. Think about that - after 20 years of his system he has to learn that his choices and strategies aren’t working.

No idea what to expect from this Fordham team. They played Dayton close at Dayton, though Dayton is hard to read. Interesting, this will be an opportunity for Mooney to measure up against Geriot (in year 1 as D1 HC). Iona beat Fordham 76-71.
