Kenpom has our SOS at 348. Torvik has us at 349. Gets me pissed off every time I think about it. Inexcusable.

This was the worst performance I've seen from a Spider team in the Mooney era. We came out completely ill prepared to play and it was clear the team had quit about midway through the second half (which should never ever happen, not the least of which for guys who are collecting paychecks to play here).
What was stunning though was the vast majority of the a pretty good crowd walking out with over 5 minutes left. Watched Hardt sit in his seat the whole time, I really hope this had an impact on him. Seeing a coach with no answers, a team quit in a game, and the majority of the fans walk out of them hopefully left an impression.
Additionally, we made no players available for postgame interviews, did not send a player of the game for a player of the game interview (not that anyone deserved it), which I found highly unusual. There's some smoke right now in the RC, it will be interesting if it erupts into a full blown blaze over the next 6 weeks.

Since you know so much---who did the Buffalo Bills hire as their new head coach. Yep, someone who was on the staff already. Using your logic Joe Kelly shouldn't have gotten a look. I know very little about Will or Peter. I just asked the quesiton.

Difference is the Bills moved on from an excellent coach and Brady is a very highly regarded/sought-after coach. Mooney is not an excellent coach and doesn't have any highly sought-after assistants.

Huge difference, the Bills have been highly successful for nearly a decade. Regular postseason but unable to get to the big game. Tons of questions if it was right to let their guy go and more questions about why you replace him with someone who is deeply rooted in the existing system.
Totally different than 55% and almost no postseason.

Grant Golden was one of our best players ever and a big time class act. Let's not get on him just because he liked and appreciated the coach he played for.

Yes!! Another humiliating Chris Mooney loss. If you care at all about UR basketball, you must celebrate every defeat and not hope that this incompetent, terrible coach gets even one more win. It has to hit “rock bottom” for the possibility anything might be done.
Golden's a little busy playing professionally in France.

He publicly dissed most everyone on this message board, many of us have been REAL fans for longer than Golden has been alive. He complained about our whining about Mooney, which is ironic considering he was always whining on the court. I have no love for Grant Golden
he defended a guy he feels strongly about. a guy that was there for him during tough times. it's a shame you took that personally. he's still one of my favorite Spiders.

players jumped in support of there guy. As much as I believe Mooney should be gone, that shouldn't take away what Grant did as a player. Yes at times he was frustating, but from being a freshman passing out by the scorer's table to being apart of an insane a10 run we gotta show respect. Doesn't mean we have to agree with that he thinks as the whole "real fans" message was the dumbest thing ever
He will always be one of my all time favorites. Speaking of whining......poor guy, did u get your feelings hurt?

Golden attacked the fanbase in his defense of Mooney and then set up a competing billboard to troll the fanbase a few years later. It is one thing to back your coach, quite another to attack significant portions of the fan base. I don't care what athlete you are and in what sport you play, you NEVER look good when you come after the fans. If you do that crap in a pro sport, you will get run out of the city you play in, pretty quickly.

Yeah I like and respect Grant. He's entitled to his opinion and nobody is surprised by it. But agree with your last part. I always find that funny. isn't he a red sox fan? Like I'm sure he was ok losing to the yankees all those times. Tho based on his age he didn't go thru that - pretty easy. Maybe he never would have been a red sox fan. Where are all our new fans going to come from? I have no idea. we certainly aren't cultivating new ones even if Philly Bob and Matt Smith think it's easy. But come on like Grant's never wanted a change in Red Sox manager b4? I'd find that hard to believe.
Just like it's so ironic when Mooney and Philly Bob would talk about the Eagles and how they were underperforming in different years. McFly. Think McFly think. Anybody home? It went over their heads comically.
