9 and 9 would be an over achievement.Mooney coached teams are as predictable as rain. Always have a collapse on one side of Christmas or the other if not both.
If I never see the UR “press”, I will be a happy fan. Such poor execution and then no one knows how to find a body when a shot goes up.
The only good thing is that the Spiders got a “warmup” game in before the A10 schedule starts, which is what really matters for this year’s team (and basically every year).
I am expecting a 9-9 outcome for the conference schedule. We will see.
CoachingWhy can’t we try and get a steal on the inbound instead of just letting them throw the ball in?
CoachingIf I have to watch Tyne jog up the court one more time when we need to be running, I’m going to scream
A10 tournament this year, next year, ....When will the dumpster dweling third rate embarrassing losses end?
I thought we did an outstanding job of playing just below the level of competition.Just checking in…did we compete?
A Mooney trademark.I thought we did an outstanding job of playing just below the level of competition.
Three points combined in the last 2 games from those starters, that’s not going to work.0 points from our starting guards. Maybe it’s time to actually start the best players?
This didn’t age well. It’s great to have spider basketball back. By this time last season I was already checked out. Looking forward to today’s game.
It’s fun going into every game not knowing who the star of the day will be.
They’ll be back once we start out 2-0 in A10 playFirst half not surprisingly we were gifting them wide open outside shots - another CM trademark.
Even though rebounding close, it seems they out-hustled us on their boards. Several times 3 or 4 rebounds in a row.
So we close out OOC with a lot of wins as expected against bad teams and have 2 losses (Elon & Charleston) to preseason low level picks in fair to weak conferences. This seems about right.
Where are the Mooney defenders?
