We picked a bad day to have a bad game. But overall I'm proud of the team and I hope there is still a lot of basketball left to be played this season.
I obviously do not follow Women’s basketball close enough to have any idea what the tournaments are. Nice of the NCAA to make it inconsistent. Of course, the goal is always to play in the top National Tournament.Yes, WBIT is now the consolation prize. WNIT is a pay-to-play third-rate tourney.
While the loss yesterday is disappointing, to say UR WBB is underachieving is way off. As of today our team has a NET power rating of 37, putting us in the top 10 percent of D1 schools and among the top non power conference schools.I don’t watch Women’s basketball. Can I just blame the athletics department for underachieving basically? Lacrosse seems to be the only sport we are overachieving or reaching any type of goal.
Announcers of GMU and URI game keep saying we need Rams to win and we're in, if Mason wins, we're out.
That's fine. We'll win, earn the league another unit, and have a chance in the 12-5 game in the round of 64. Being in the 8-9 game killed us last year. We would have been better off being a 10 or 11 and thus would have avoided a 1 in the second round. For sure if we get in it will be first four
