Comparison of FCS Returning starters

This is a pretty interesting analysis of the percentage of returning contributors each FCS team has. Richmond is ranked last in the Patriot League in offensive contribution per game.

no surprise when you lose your QB, ZPS and three top receivers...that's almost all of the offensive firepower...its like Coach Huesman said in his most recent interview "the younger players are coming along"...but the team "will be young in some spots"...

seeing what these young guys can do is one of many things that will make this season very interesting and a real test for Coach Huesman and the coaching staff...

Go Spiders!

I like our chances. I'm riding with the guys that want to be here. All these guys have something to prove. You can tell from the interviews that they're motivated and ready to go. But with that said game one will be a tell. I'd think we might be a little difficult to scout early on.

Wofford also lost a lot of its offensive power, while Lehigh has kept their team together.
Thanks for putting this up.

Couple of thoughts.

A quick glance at the stats Lehigh offense vs Spider defense. They look to be returning a strong group. I hope hidden and not noticed in Spider stats are the return of TJ Baldwin and Hoilette on the DL. With those two healthy and the remainder of returning DL and LB, maybe their run game can be slowed, and those two groups can keep the QB running around to some degree and take a little pressure off Spiders young DBs early in season. This first game will be a test for sure.

Wofford success might well turn on just not giving them the ball 4 extra times like last year via turnovers.

The stats also show Spiders losing a lot of passing and running (which they did) but hopefully the QB stats are not all lost if WIckersham completes passes at a high rate and he will also get his run yards to go with the RBs.
