Aiden Argabright - Rising sophomore and assumed starting PG

Agree that he seems most likely to get PT this season. But, if all four guards are legit (Tyne, Johnston, Lopez, Thomas) may not be many minutes. Looks like a high skill level guard. Of course I was pretty high on Jaynel as well.
some highlights:

Looks like he had a Mississippi State offer. But hard to tell how much interest he would have garnered b/c he committed pretty early. Between portal and traditional interest in sub 6' guards not surprised he jumped on the offer. As others have noted, the impact of the RS freshman and true freshman will be a big indicator on whether Moon has improved his HS recruiting.

Wow - Aiden A is fun to watch. Was shocked to see that he only was in for 14 minutes given his huge impact.
If tonight is indication of his skills and value added, I think it would negligent to limit his minutes to 14 per game. One game doesn’t necessarily deem him a starter, but if he is consistent with what we saw tonight, then he should be on the court more. He’s a difference maker, a playmaker, and aggressive. From a fan’s perspective, the kind of guy you want to see playing significant minutes.

Great post game player of the game interview with Aiden .. sort of expected it to be Walz but glad AA was selected. Clearly very mature and not a typical freshman in his mindset. Love how he draws fouls even though he was a but rougher from the line than normal today.

Aiden is definitely a “quarterback” on the court. Has some great passes and loved that he received one too leading to his breakaway reverse layup. Liked the fact that he acknowledged the free throw misses and that he would immediately work to get better.

I did notice Jrob changed up the hair. I like it as it gives him another inch or two.

As Aiden and Mooney spoke to in the interview, he just sees the game so well and is always a little ahead of other guys on the court.
And in addition to his other great stats, he has an 8.6% turnover rate, 5th in the A10. Thomas is 4th. Much to smans disbelief, Walz is 9th on our team, with a 21% TO rate. I guess u are right, those stats guys are seeing those :). I do believe he may have been turnover free last game, when he was being more aggressive.
Tyne and Daughtry are up there with Walz..

Will say Walz is statistically near the top in a few different categories, including 7th in assist rate.

I posted several weeks ago AA sees the game one play ahead.

Aiden is now ranked 5th in the entire A10 in EvanMiya's BPR metric - only behind Robbie Avila, Rafael Castro, Kory Mincy and Nyk Lewis.

He's also 4th in the A10 in Sports Reference's Player Efficiency Rating and 2nd in the A10 in Win Shares per 40 minutes.

Insane stuff from a true freshman!
