A10 players/schools implicated in point-shaving scandal

Legal sports gamblling is why this was caught.
It's a lot easier to see unusual betting activity now. You'd never find this when it was bookies taking bets.
The counterpoint here is that before legalized gambling, the market was much smaller and therefore demand for fixing games much lower. Widespread legalized gambling has only been prevalent for a couple years and we’ve already seen several leagues (NBA, MLB, NCAAM, etc.) have issues with this.
 
Definitely think they need to get rid of player props. Also think more states should implement the law that someone can’t bet on in-state teams for college sports. So can’t bet on Virginia teams while in Virginia. Kids should not be getting threats and harassed over these things and those are two measures that hopefully address that.
Isn't that already a law? I thought that you cannot bet on any in-state school/team
