A10 and Bracketology

I’ve heard that committee meets on Fridays. I doubt they put too much thought into the brackets past Friday to the point moving our game up one day would make a big difference in their minds. I don’t have the specific ratings either but there were only 4 D1 men’s basketball games on Sunday. 1 pm on a nationally televised network doesn’t get much better than that viewership wise.
You don't think they meet on Saturday? The Big Ten and SEC haven't even played their semi final tourmey game before Saturday. If they don't, that is ridiculous. Who is really watching the A-10 game on a Sunday at 1 except A-10 fans who would certainly watch Saturday night.

I heard one of the sports announcers this past weekend, I forget which game, say the committee start deliberations Friday. I don’t know if that means they’re necessarily done by Friday but I don’t know how much moving the game up one day will change their minds. If they were set on having SLU + either Dayton/VCU fill the remaining slot this year when the bubble was super weak, then playing Saturday instead of Sunday won’t really change their minds.

That would be an interesting question for the new AD. As a league we want exposure. We also want to position ourselves in a way that we become more nationally relevant again. How would we reconcile that if those two ideas are in conflict with one another?

Zero doubt in my mind that having a Sunday finale woks against the A10 in the selection process.
