Based on process of elimination from the A-10 schools that have released so far, we should be hosting St. Joe's on 4/18.

And we should be hosting Delaware and Hobart on two out of three of 3/14, 3/28, and 4/4.

Edit: We are hosting Lehigh on 2/21.

Edit 2: We are hosting Mercer on 2/16.

Hoping the season opener vs. MD is a 12:00pm/1:00pm start so we can hit the MBB home game vs. Davidson at 4:30pm right after. That will be an electric Saturday on campus if timing works out.

Now this is a schedule for a team with final four aspirations! Hardest schedule in the history of our program and A10 should be even more difficult with Delaware this year. If we want at-large I imagine we will have to win 3 or 4 of 6 against (Maryland, Georgetown, UVA, Lehigh, Cornell, Notre Dame) and have 1-2 A10 losses depending on how well we did OOC.

Richmond

The Spiders’ NCAA run (nearly taking down Cornell in the Quarterfinals) is the product of years of cultural investment, so expect Dan Chemotti’s squad to stick around in May with leading scorer Lucas Littlejohn plus Aidan O’Neil, Joe Sheridan, Gavin Creo and others on offense, and Hunter Smith and shortie Jack Pilling back as two of the nation’s best on D.
Spiders scrimmaged UNC today at Brick House…a friend reported UR won 11-8.

Apparently the Heels can’t get enough of us.

Go Spiders!

Atlantic 10

Storyline: Change
There isn’t a league that underwent as much change year over year. First, enter Delaware, which departed from the CAA. Also enter new coaches at Saint Joseph’s (Scott Meehan, replacing Taylor Wray), UMass (Kyle Smith, replacing Greg Cannella), Hobart (Stephen Brundage, replacing Greg Raymond) and St. Bonaventure (Brendan Storrier, replacing Randy Mearns). That’s most of the league in a state of change.

Kinnear’s Pick: Richmond
Confidence Meter: High
One of the more consistent programs in the sport, the Spiders took a hefty leap last year beating North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament. They tested Cornell, too. While defense has been their calling card — Hunter Smith is the potential POTY, and Jack Pilling is on a short list of top SSDMS — four of their top five scorers are back.

Wildcard: Delaware
The Blue Hens enter the A-10, adding another program with recent NCAA experience to the fold. It was a disappointing last season in the CAA for the Hens, but new opponents, new challenges and experience after a lot of guys were thrown into the fire last year can create some fire.
