2026 MLAX Schedule

Richmond

Spiders' Defense: G Connor Knight, D Hunter Smith, D Michael Farrell, D Nate Murphy

Losing Mitchell Dunham is a big hit for Richmond's back line, but Knight looks ready to step into Zach Vigue's shoes in between the pipes and Hunter Smith is undisputably one of the best cover defensemen in the game. The fourth-most efficient defense in '25, defensive coordinator Paul Richards will have this group ready to do battle from game one.

RMU just played at JHU this past Monday and got clobbered 17-2.

Not sure about this game happening this Saturday at UR.

Bummer that weather is affecting the most anticipated lacrosse season in Spiders history. I was looking at both UR and Maryland’s schedule.

Maryland plays Delaware on Friday March 6th. We play Georgetown Saturday March 7th. If we can move our GTown game to Friday as well, maybe we can reschedule our Maryland game to Sunday March 8th.

Maryland also has a Friday game next Week and we play UVA on 2/14 but weather will still probably be cold and too risky to schedule again this early.

Looks like Maryland game has been rescheduled for 4/18.

Opened my Apple wallet to check on Women’s basketball tickets and tics to Maryland were there for 4/18.

Consider this unofficial until announcement by University. It could be a clerical or user error.

Go Spiders!

Good find Mojo! Hopefully that is the case. I think we all want this game to happen (spider fans, Maryland fans, and fans of lacrosse as a whole).

Are we going to have lax games tomorrow? Hardt’s email suggests so, but with the windchill factor it’ll be even colder than last week.

Spiders win 17-7. Great to see freshmen FO, Vincent Gaylord go 15/24 or 63% on face-offs. Our coaches are clearly really high on him. He lost his first 4 to start the game likely due to first ever collegiate game jitters. He then went 15/19 after that! If he can continue develop and produce good results against stronger competition, that’ll be huge for us.

Didn't get a chance to watch...anybody have thoughts? Thought we might do a bit better than 17–7 considering Hopkins beat them 17–2, but hard to tell without watching what it was actually like. And they had a game under their belt now while we didn't.

Thoughts on Knight in goal? That was our other big question mark coming into the season. Know he has a bit of experience during his time, but now he's the man.

Spiders started off flat. Not surprised given first game of the season and weather. Vincent seems to be the guy we thought he was going to be at the X. Great to see him have such a strong showing his first game. Connor Knight looked good in goal too. Otherwise, defense looked strong. O’Neil was great facilitator on offense with 5 assists. I don’t think we turned the ball over once on our clears. Overall, good performance by our spiders and expected result.

Like Vincent, started off slow. Defense did a good job giving him good looks. Saved different kinds of shots too (high shots, low shots). Did a good job stopping the wraparound shots too. Save percentage of 53% (8/15). Solid start for him overall.
