I guess that is better than suspicious inactivity…..Well, it appears the Spider football X account has been restricted due to suspicious activity. Hopefully it doesn't go to full suspension and they have to start over from scratch yet again.
Looks like another solid class. It has become obvious that FBS schools are no longer offering kids that are developmental prospects and are not recruited as immediate contributors at the FBS levels. They offer scholarships to the mature kids that have developed at FCS or lower level programs rather than bring them in directly out of high school to develop internally. Our niche at UR appears to be to recruit the best talent we can find and develop them at our level and hope that some will choose to stay through graduation and give us at least three years of contribution. We are just going to have to realize that in the current landscape of college football that we are going to lose some kids each year but are recruiting at a level that many may develop into players that may move on. I have come to accept that and am glad we are still recruiting these type of athletic and skilled players that have a high ceiling that may at some point mean they seek NIL offers to move up.

Believe Richmond has a reputation for having an eye for talent and sound developmental program. FBS programs apparently scour our starters closely. Essentially, we have become a farm team for FBS programs. Richmond already has the Flying Squirrels in minor league baseball. Maybe we just need to face reality and start calling ourselves the Flying Spiders.
