Rough day for our OOC opponents as they continue to drop in conference tournaments...High Point put Gardner-Webb out of their misery, VMI lost handily to UNCG, and we already discussed Belmont and Charleston Southern going down. The one bright spot was The Citadel, which upset Chatty in the first round of the SoCon tournament.
And yeah, VCU won.

W&M unsurprisingly prevailed in the double-opponent battle with Elon, while Furman had a decent win knocking off Samford to make the SoCon semis.
The Citadel's season comes to an end at the hands of ETSU, who steadily pulled away in the second half and only a last-gasp spurt by The Citadel brought it down to the final margin from a 17-point gap with just 90 seconds to play.

Furman was the only Spider opponent to pick up a win today, advancing to the SoCon final with a win over UNCG. W&M got destroyed by Hofstra to knock them out of the CAA tournament, and ECU and Charlotte both lost their regular-season finales.
