I don't get into a bidding war for Kennedy. high volume scorer shooting 2's at 46% and only hitting 13 threes all year as a guard playing 37 mpg? good rebound and assist numbers at the lower level, though. like how he probes.

surely wasn't playing time. he played 30 mpg. but in that time he took 1.6 two pointers and 1.5 fts per game. he's a guy standing on the 3 point line ... and he does shoot it well. but he just finished freshman year and he so far has committed to Howard, then Brown, then a prep school...

doesn't sound like he's much into keeping commitments. lol

Christian Humphrey-Rembert's highlight reel looks like he's familiar with our offense.

good point. that worked. a lot of things can work with a Jordan King on the roster. there isn't only one way to win.

According to @CharlieSpungin: “He is the 3rd player in FIBA U19 World Cup history to average 23+ PPG and 9+ RPG on 65+ TS%, joining 🇱🇹 Jonas Valancuinas (2011) and 🇦🇺 Andrew Bogut (2003).” I'm interested.

Spiders Sound Off: Back from a break.

I agree it's not ideal. but I loved his highlights. while maybe not likely, if even as a freshman he's one of our best players on both ends you have to make it work. I assume that's the concept he was sold when he committed.

Beagle was a strange recruit for Mooney. I like the player. don't like the fit in a Mooney offense. our center has to be a threat from outside or the defensive center sits in the lane. I think too often Mooney takes the best recruit he can land in the portal without regard for how he can use...

Mooney specifically said Caldwell and Simmons can play at the A10 level as freshmen. I think Caldwell is a big forward and not a 5, but who knows how Mooney sees him.

Spiders Sound Off: Back from a break.

I think we're headed to the same roster construction problems we've had. if I'm right, Simmons is too good to play just 8 mpg behind AA. so Mooney will have to play them together some. but yes, one of our 5 incoming transfers needs to be a starting level SG. we definintely need a starting...

increasing our NIL in a vacuum would certainly lead to better incoming transfers. but if everyone is increasing NIL ... nothing changes. it just gets more expensive.

he's got the body, but he's never shown much of a rugged low post skill set. he's a Mooney-type center.

I appreciate all Mike gave us, but have no interest in a 5th year. we went 5-13 his junior and senior year ... not that it's his fault. but he's not a difference maker and we'd be in the same boat replacing him next year.

AJ to Portal - I guess trying to get another year

a lot of kids have tried this recently and not been granted the extra year. can't blame him for trying though.
