What characteristics would you want to see in a men’s college bb coach?

Some emotion in post game interviews. Act like you care and losses hurt you greatly.
Tell us bad play is unacceptable and will be fixed.
Don't be a robot. Laugh at the right time, get mad at the right time.
Coach with some emotion on the sidelines.
Mix things up on offense and defense.
Recruit better.
Win more. A lot more.
Stop with excuses. If you get asked about NIL...say "we are always working to get as much NIL as we can to put us in the best position possible, but I appreciate everything everyone has already done to help with this. We are in win now mode and I expect us to only win more and more as our NIL funding increases. Our goal every year is to have a team capable of reaching the NCAA tourney. Whatever roster we end with, it is up to me to coach them up and win big like the fans and our school expects."
Scheduling: "It has become harder to schedule, but I feel confident we can find the right teams to play to give us one of the top OOC schedules in our conference, which we know goes a long way in securing an at large bid to the dance, which our fans rightly expect out of us."

A guy who wants to win and shows it in every press conference. And also a person who is really engaging to our fan base, students, and the media. Moonman has destroyed that and I really want to see a coach who comes in who values that and can bring our community back together. A coach who wants to build our brand.
Obviously, they have to be good coach, recruiter, person as well.

Strong presence on social media who realizes he needs to get the student body more involved early in the season and then deliver wins to keep them coming to RC later.
Of the many issues with the Men’s basketball program, the lack of student interest may be the most telling. As it has been noted on other threads, it isn’t just Richmond either. What is the future of UR basketball if there aren’t any alums with memories of great games and general craziness? If the new normal is to manage D1 basketball like a business, it sure seems like “future demand” for the product is trending way down.
