Hopefully we don't give up 78% from 2 point range again, but based on the third party review of all our transfers defensive abilities - I feel like this is not out of the realm.
You gripe because you still care. I've quit grippng because Mooney has killed my enthusiasm for Spider Men's Basketball.Hopefully all my griping works out the same way it did for Shohei Ohtani last night.

I hear you. Every season, I basically think the same thing - I am really not going to care. But keep coming back. But there are a ton of "real" fans on here like you - that have lost interest and not watching or going to games. But they care more about the "real" fans that only come out when a billboard is put up.
I stopped going to games and swore that I wouldn't go back until Mooney was gone but I can't not root for the Spiders via TV and computer. I just can't. I've been a fan since 1969. Football, lacrosse and baseball, I'm there.

I think Liberty is supposed to be good this season again. And from the sounds of the JMU coach calling out Mooney publicly for ducking us, this could be interesting. I am more in the camp that these exhibition results aren't everything, unless u give up 70% from 2 pt for range of course. But this should be a good game for us.
VCU got spanked at Villanova today, but I still expect them at top of that A10. I would have loved for us to play JMU and a Big East team to try to work out the kinks.

I looked and posted earlier in another thread that all I could find was one game on ESPN+ and it was St Joe’s game.

After watching the game tonight, I’m convinced the leaked box score again St Mary’s was fake. Mooney would never have given Mcglothin that much run

yeah - just looked back at it after seeing your post and totally agree .. talent and readiness for Robinson over McGlothin (based on the time I saw him in the extra 10 minutes) is very clear. Likewise the 24 min for AP who appears to be injured makes no sense.

Was just about to say the same about AP - highly doubt he played 24 min, if at all, given the injury.

In terms of the rant, the fake box score obviously comes from this Forum, but I didn’t see complaints about Mooney not trying to win and/or complaints about the extra 10 minutes. I agree with the special guest Rob that the best thing to say about the bonus period is nothing. What we saw was 5 players that we may see vs Southern VA but otherwise won’t see again this year.

Great job handling it solo this week, TMac! Great insight from your guest as well. Helpful context to know that even though we held JMU under 60, they missed a lot of open shots. Same thing with rebounding where we were outrebounded by 8-10 in first half and then seemed closer at the end fo game since JMU was intentionally trying to move away from scoring in the post. Lack of rebounding has always been an Achilles heel of ours.
Great new intro songs and new segment. I’m sure this forum will give plenty of reasons to continue the new segment of yours
