Agree, not a great take that Tyne is better than AA. Right now Tyne is a 5'9" shooting guard who can't get to the rim. He's shooting 3s well, especially early in games. But often is then never heard from again. Is he a better shooter than AA - yes. At all other aspects of guard play? No, not really.
He doesn't make guys better like AA does, especially in transition, he draws about 1/20 the FTs that AA does, which is an insane stat and he he is something of a ball stopper when he gets it and dribbles. Just not a big time playmaker. Aiden is decisive with the ball, attacks seams, draws fouls and makes plays.
Overall, give me AA all day.

I think it's a two part process with AA at a sit-down with him as soon as our season is over, way before the portal opens.
1) share what we can bump his NIL to next season. he's the only guy who deserves an increase. whatever our new cap is next year, he gets the largest share. show him he's our priority.
2) share the offseason plan. it will probably evolve, but there must be one. we've raised additional NIL money for the 2 open spots which we'll use to land impact players at the 5 and 3. we'll have talent around you.

Every award he wins ups his price and also his odds of finding a place that values winning more than we do. But obviously, congrats to AA. He has been the silver lining in this lost season.

When you have Aragbright (152) taking 4x more free throws than Walz (40), that just incapsulates the issues with Mooney's game strategy.
It also shows the comparative aggressiveness of those 2 players. Waltz could have taken significantly more free throws if he would have driven more frequently and finished at the goal as opposed to bypassing a shot and passing it out.

Aiden is the special guest on Spider sound off. Good job getting him on there. Appreciate you guys bringing up the off-season decisions etc. His demeanor did get a little somber. Would have love to hear him pronounce he was coming back, but probably makes zero sense to even discuss any publicly at this time.

But good for Aiden. His stats in the A10 are noteworthy.

If you were Aiden would you remain at UR given his obvious underutilized ability along with 3 years of eligibility on a team which has absolutely no hope of an NCAA bid and absolutely no national or even regional exposure along with a suspect 26-27 roster in a 1 bid conference.
