On a less positive note, non-P6 school other than Gonzaga got any votes in the Week 1 AP Top 25 poll other than a single 25h ranking and 1 point for Utah State. Gross.

Think my comment last week wasn't quite correct. Here are the non P5 schools who have votes in this week's AP poll. Again on A10 teams and no opponents ... NC State is 25th for their game tonight against VCU.

Think we need to demand a recount/revote after URI jumped us but is now getting drilled by Towson. Awesome Davidson looked just a bit mediocre against Utah State last night

How is Belmont ranked 35 in the Net?
They have a SOS of 350. I watched a few minutes of their game vs Lipscomb and they didn’t look like anything special to me.
Seems like a gift of a Q1 game to me.

The NET can be wonky early on. William and Mary checks in at 72, which gives us a Quad 2 win. Neither of these are likely to hold once conference play begins.

Probably something to do with their margin of victory and how it sways their efficiency numbers, despite the very poor SOS.
They rank 37th in the country in Wins Above Bubble, which is weird to me because WAB is supposed to measure your performance against your scheudle vs. what the average bubble team's performance would be, but their SOS is so poor and I figure the average bubble team would match their performance so far....NET also uses Kenpom and Torvik and Belmont is 75 and 92 in those rankings respectively.
