Question - do we know for sure the buyout is 4.5? Isn’t it possible that it could be lower if the additional 2 yr extension given like charity by Hardt may have had lowered buyout provisions? Either way, your point on buyout and endowment is valid. If they really want him gone, he’d be gone.

Looks like he could be a candidate for our next 6’9” guard. Would still need to find another under 6’ player to guard the basket. If we get those 2 positions filled, we are set to continue success of MooneySys. Looking forward to ‘26 / ‘27 season.

And last year's VCU coach heads up I64 to Cville to almost completely rebuild the UVA roster, come in 2nd in conference, and head to Big Dance as a high seed. But we have Hardt & Coach For Life with back to back 5-14 A10 years. Makes one wonder if we are cursed.

Remember - this is Mooneyville. Both those guys started most of this season. Right or wrong / good or bad - both probably back and start for loyalty factor coach. Neither would get offers to better teams.

And this year a brand new coach in Martelli put up over 20 wins & prob makes NCAA. Coach for prior 2 years at VCU (Ryan Odom) now at UVA rebuilt their lineup, finished in 2nd place ACC, playing for conference championship. We could go back plenty of years and coaches with VCU. They own Mooney...

Daughtry is local guy, I suspect got decent $ to transfer here after 2 years at Indiana St, will be a senior, and would probably get more playing time next year. My guess is he stays. The other 2 - I don't know.
