Unless I’m forgetting someone the last high school freshman who had a significant impact was Tyler Burton.
Too lazy to research how many high school classes ago that was, but think at least 5/6!
Just another indicator of why the program is in such a sad state. Why can’t we sign the Golden’s...
Lehigh has gotten most of the preseason hype around the Patriot League, and among Spiders fans, but how about Holy Cross!...the Crusaders have won outright, or shared, the Patriot League Championship six consecutive seasons!...most would call Lehigh a "johnny come lately" versus that streak...
An absolute embarrassment for our historic flagship program! No respect for the program, it players and loyal fans.
Wasn’t it just a few years ago someone at UR said we had one of the best basketball programs in the country? If so, we’ve come backwards a long way!
Go Spiders!
32, I sure hope I had nothing to do with the closure of the scrimmage. I would never intentionally do anything that would damage the football program.
I believe fans were warned when the UR AD preseason practice calendar was announced that the scrimmages could be closed.
Go Spiders!
Colgate may have the best history of any Patriot League football program...in 2003 they advanced to the I-AA Championship game...before losing to Delaware...they have been in the FCS Playoffs eleven times!...the Raiders have won ten Patriot League championships!
lately the Raiders have...
it would be fun, but don't think they'd ever do it...we embarrassed them enough over the years...
if it were to occur I'd ask to play in the Turkey Capital of the World's aluminum stadium, and request a $400K check for the trip!...they whipped UNC last season...if Carolina pays us $400K, surely...
how weird to be playing Bisons two weeks in a row...these Bison are from a Pennsylvania herd that's looking to stampede over the Spiders, if we're not at our best!
Bucknell was 6-6, 4-2 Patriot League last season...they were the only PL team to defeat Lehigh...they defeated the Engineers 38-35...
believe it, or not, playing at The Brick House on September 27 to help the Spiders celebrate Family Weekend may be a big downer for the Bison...they might even consider Richmond to be a "breather"...
Howard, a historic and celebrated HBCU program, will play in three HBCU Classics plus their FBS...
the last time the Spiders played their first three games on the road was 2007...that year ended pretty good!...it's great to open The Brick House season with ancient rival VMI...Richmond has dominated the series since the late 60's, but only leads the 2nd most played football opponent 45-40-5...
Ha! After all these years I can take it…
the Indians’ fans are nothing compared to the JMU fans back in the day…they accused me of being the infamous former poster here who went by FrontRoyal Spider…FRS loved trolling the Dukes…the Pukes said I lived behind the 7-11 in Front Royal…and that I...
Belichick's hiring turned this paycheck game into a great media opportunity for the Spiders...the entire college football world will still be interested in how Belichick is faring in his transition to college football...
his impact has already been felt on the Heel's roster which will include...
If at first you don’t succeed, try something different!
How about taking a page from the Cavs and Odom. Schedule an exhibition game versus a respectable P6 program at the Robins Center.
Like the Cavs make it free for the loyal season ticket holders as an apology for this Q4 dominated non...
